Wild Wild WiFi: Dancing with wolves

Wireless network security has always been under scrutiny by cybersecurity researchers. The following are a number of ideas and enhancements that can help improve and fortify the security of Wireless networks. Two of these enhancements are the implementation of dynamic and temporary password changes and the ability to pin certain network features.

With the arrival of the WPA3 protocol in 2017, several known vulnerabilities were solved, such as KRACK, which was patched by most vendors and manufacturers, however there are still devices that due to age or compatibility have not been able to update and continue to use the WPA2 protocol with all the risks that this entails.

It was also investigated how the use of a TOTP in the generation of WiFi keys considerably increased the security of the network, which led to the development of a patent based not only on the use of a TOTP but also taking randomness and biometrics as protagonists.
